課程概述

This course situates the dramatic work of Shakespeare within the context of his own biblical and religious culture in order to contribute to the current debates about frameworks of cultural memory and the poetics of adaptation.

課程目標
By the end of the course students will understand the complex cultural contexts out of which Shakespeare plays emerged and which they contributed to, as well as Shakespeare’s own concerns with time, space and the evolution of text.
課程要求
